Who we are

Smile Shine Ltd (“we”, “us”) sells the SmileShine 3-in-1 oral care kit from buysmileshine.com. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Contact us at support@buysmileshine.com.

What we collect

  • Order details you provide at checkout: name, email, delivery address, phone.
  • Payment details, handled directly by Shopify and its payment providers — we never see full card numbers.
  • Support messages you send us by email.
  • Device and usage data such as IP address, browser, pages viewed and actions taken (for example adding to basket), where you have accepted advertising cookies.

How we use it

  • To take payment, fulfil and deliver your order, and handle returns or refunds (performance of a contract).
  • To answer support enquiries (legitimate interests).
  • To measure and improve our advertising (consent, where required).
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

Cookies and advertising measurement

Essential cookies keep the site and your basket working. With your consent we also use the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) to measure ad performance — it records events such as page views, adding to basket and purchases, and shares them with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd for measurement and ad optimisation. In the UK and EEA these cookies do not run until you accept. You can change your choice at any time:

Who we share data with

Shopify (store and checkout), payment providers, delivery partners, and Meta (only for advertising measurement where you have consented). Some of these providers process data outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Order and tax records for 6 years as required by UK law. Support emails for up to 2 years. Advertising measurement data according to Meta’s retention periods.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email support@buysmileshine.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
